Meditation
on the Praanic Energy

This meditation balances your earthly element with ether. This balance allows for prosperity during life and smooth transition at the end of life.

Sit with a tall spine. Start by bending the thumbs into the hands to press on the base of pinkie fingers. Then bring palms together in front of the chest, similar to prayer pose, with the forearms parallel to the floor.

The fingers will press against their opposites from the fingertips down to the second segment of each finger. With the thumbs inside the mudra, press the back knuckles of the thumbs against each other with great pressure. The knuckles may hurt, but it will give a sort of joy and satisfaction.

Have the eyes 1/10th open looking down at the tip of the nose.

Inhale with eight equal sniffs through the nose, exhale completely through the mouth. When exhaling through the mouth, gently purse the lips almost as in a whistle. Repeat this breath pattern for 11 minutes.
